I’m Cindy Hoang, a fourth-year Graphic Design student at California College of the Arts. ₊˚⊹
I'm a versatile designer with experience in marketing, brand identity, logo design, typography, and more. My work centers on crafting memorable experiences through clarity and strong identity.
My ambition reflects the resilience and creativity I’ve inherited from my Vietnamese roots. Being the daughter of Vietnamese refugees, my heritage plays a significant role in influencing my design perspective. Raised in a family shaped by perseverance, I’ve learned to approach challenges with determination.
This mindset is represented through my personal symbol being a phoenix, known for rising from the ashes to shed old ideas and emerge with renewed insights. I always strive to carry these traits into my design practice.
Outside of my academic life, my favorite pastimes include making handmade beaded keychains 🌸, wandering through thrift stores 🛒, and visiting art markets 🎨 to find cute trinkets!
Blue and pink themed keychain on my camera. Keychain featuring an album cover from Deftones. Keychain featuring an album cover from Beabadoobee. Green and white themed keychain on my PS Vita. Keychain featuring an album cover from Japanese Breakfast. Keychain featuring an album cover from Ichiko Aoba.
Pictured above are some keychains I’ve made this past year! Making them allows me to unwind while creating thoughtful, personalized gifts for friends and family. Doing so also complements my design work, as it lets me explore color combinations, patterns, and textures in a more physical manner.
